Lime is the basic raw material of the steel industry, and is also widely used in calcium carbide, power, glass fiber, building materials, paper making, sewage treatment and other industries, with an annual consumption of nearly 300 million tons. The calcium carbide industry mainly uses block lime, the steel industry mainly uses block and powder lime, and the power desulfurization, glass fiber, building materials, paper making, sewage treatment and other industries mainly use powder lime. The main quality index of lime is CaO content and activity. Specific users have limited requirements on the content of SO ∈, SiO ∈, Fe ∈ O ∈, etc.
Current situation of lime production
At present, lime is mainly obtained from calcined block limestone. The production enterprises are small and scattered, and the environment is poor.
Due to the calcination of block limestone, the single unit capacity of the above devices is small, the heat exchange efficiency is low, and it is difficult to ensure the uniformity and stability of product quality. There are some phenomena such as over burning on the surface and under burning on the inside to varying degrees, so the products generally need to be selected when leaving the factory.
At present, powdered lime is obtained by selecting, crushing and grinding lump lime, but the grindability of lump lime is far worse than that of limestone, and the power consumption for grinding is high. With the increasing demand for powdered lime, especially for high-quality (active CaO content greater than 90%) powdered lime, it is more urgent to seek a green, energy-saving and environment-friendly production process for powdered lime.
